When deep decay, cracks or trauma lead to inflammation or infection inside a tooth, root canal treatment can relieve pain and save the tooth. At Table Mesa Dental, performs this treatment with precision and care—removing infected pulp, cleaning the canal and sealing the tooth to restore comfort and function.
If a cavity reaches the nerve or a crack exposes the inner tissue, a root canal may be necessary. We use digital X-rays and a thorough exam to assess the damage and determine if treatment is needed. Prompt care helps eliminate discomfort, prevent further infection and protect your overall oral health—all in a calm, supportive setting.
01.
Initial Consultation: We begin with a comprehensive exam and digital X-rays to evaluate the extent of infection or damage. This allows us to determine whether a root canal or other treatment is the most effective way to save your tooth.
Comfort & Preparation: The treatment area is gently numbed using local anesthesia to ensure a pain-free experience. For patients with dental anxiety, we also offer oral and IV sedation options to keep you relaxed and comfortable throughout the procedure.
Root Canal Procedure: We carefully remove the infected pulp, then clean, shape and disinfect the root canals. The space is filled with a biocompatible material and sealed to prevent reinfection. To restore full function and appearance, we finish with a filling or preparation for a custom dental crown—often using same-day technology when appropriate.

Aftercare Instructions: Following your root canal, retreatment, or apicoectomy, you’ll receive easy-to-follow aftercare guidance to promote healing and minimize discomfort. Some mild soreness is normal and can typically be managed with over-the-counter pain medication. It’s important to keep the area clean and avoid chewing on the treated side until the final restoration is placed.
Follow-up Visits: We may schedule a follow-up appointment to check your healing progress and complete the process with a permanent filling or dental crown, ensuring lasting strength and function. Regular dental checkups are essential to maintain the success of your treatment and protect your long-term oral health.
